Mission Statement:

To assist persons with disabilities achieve greater independence by providing services and activities which enhance independent living skills and promote the public's understanding, accommodation, and acceptance of their rights, needs and abilities.

Our good friend, past Board member and advocate, Mark Christiansen, passed away at home Thursday, September 11th surrounded by his family.

In addition to participating in and supporting many UILC events, Mark served on our Board of Directors for 24 years, including multiple terms as Board Chairman.

We have appreciated his humor and kindness, commitment to Independent Living, and many acts of service to the UILC and community. He will be greatly missed.

Mark’s obituary can be viewed by clicking here.
